Usage

DHA is the most abundant omega-3 fatty acid in the brain and retina, accounting for 40% of the polyunsaturated fatty acid in the brain, 60% of the polyunsaturated fatty acid in the retina, and 50% of the cell membrane of neurons DHA. DHA can prevent platelet deposition on blood vessel wall, prevent or reduce atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.

The proportion of DHA in breast milk ranged from 0.07% to over 1.0% of all fatty acids, with an average of about 0.34%. Women who ate more fish also had higher levels of DHA in their breast milk. Fish and shellfish are high in DHA, but they are also contaminated with trace amounts of mercury. The Food and Drug Administration of the United States has raised concerns about mercury levels in fish and shellfish consumed by pregnant women, women planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding women, and young children.

A working group of the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids put the recommended intake of DHA for pregnant and lactating women at 300 mg a day, The daily consumption of DHA in women at this stage ranges from 45 mg to 115 mg. The March of Dimes recommends 200 mg a day, and other sources have different recommendations.

DHA nutritional intervention is very important to eugenics and eugenics, as well as the healthy growth of infants. Mothers start reasonable DHA nutritional intervention during pregnancy, which is more conducive to eugenics.
