Azilsartan is an angiotensin II receptor inhibitor that lowers blood pressure by blocking the activity of the angiotensin II receptor, compared with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) antihypertensive drugs. It has the advantage of smooth blood pressure, does not cause dry cough.
