The effectiveness and safety of NMN are continuously proven by experiments

Since the advent of β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide (short name: NMN, CAS No.: 1094-61-7) there has been constant controversy. However, in the past two years, as the results of research and experiments on NMN by scientists around the world have been published, the effectiveness and safety of NMN have gradually been confirmed.

On January 7, 2019, researchers from Washington University School of Medicine published their research in Nature Metabolism: They found the transporter of NMN and confirmed that NMN can directly enter cells. This also broke some doubts about "whether NMN can actually enter the cell to produce an effect".

On February 10 of the same year, scientists discovered that NNMT was overexpressed with muscle aging, and the addition of its inhibitors prevented the decrease of NAD+, thus reversing the aging of muscles. This is similar to the NMN supplement found by Harvard University in March 2018 to increase the NAD+ content in muscles and reverse muscle aging.

Because the NMN function can be used to improve the muscle atrophy of astronauts (astronauts lack exercise due to weightlessness), NASA also awarded the discovery team David Sinclair iTech Award.
In 2020, NMN continues to shine. On April 19, the Brenner team from the University of Iowa in the United States completed and announced the results of their own experiments on the relationship between NAD+ and the new crown virus:
They found that exogenous supplementation of NAD+ may be the key to helping the innate immune system defeat the new coronavirus COVID-19.
